So once I got off work I walked into the middle of 7 Wonders. But once that was over, we started the night off with Ticket to Ride.
Then we followed it up with classic round of Small World.
Then we finished the night with Castle Panic! One of my personal favorites, we had to play this twice tho. Haha the first game didn’t even last 5 minutes haha.
Even tho I didn’t win any or mostly came in second place…. I had a great time with new friends and a special someone. It was nice to have some game time and forget about my long work day.

So I started teaching my little hobbits Alhambra. Now keep in mind Lilly is 5 years of age and Jackson is only 3. For their first time they did REAL WELL. Lilly figured it out rather quickly, Jax took a few turns to put it all together.
But in the end it was Jackson winning with a 142 points with the second longest wall of 18. Both me and Lilly tied with 141 points, Lilly had the shortest wall with 9 and mine came in at 20. It was nice to have a REAL tabletop night with them. Something that wasn’t Clue or Sorry…. Monopoly jr………..
For those who don’t know. In Alhambra, players are acquiring buildings to be placed within their Alhambra complex.
On a player’s turn, a player may take money from the open money market, purchase a building from the building market, or engage in construction and re-construction projects with buildings that have been placed in the player’s reserve. The game rewards efficiency, as when a player purchases a building from the market for the exact amount of money, the player may take another turn.
Players with the most buildings in each of the six building types score in each of the scoring phases, and points are awarded for players’ longest external “wall” section within their complex. The game ends when the building market can no longer be replenished from the building tile supply, and there is a final scoring, whereupon the player with the highest score wins.

CCP Games, creators of the successful space MMORPG EVE Online, have announced they will be harvesting stories from within the game to create comic books, a TV series, and possibly even films set in the EVE universe. EVE has never set records for the size of its userbase, but it’s long been known as a game that generates some of the best emergent gameplay in the industry. From battles involving thousands of players to in-game confidence schemes involving currency worth tens of thousands of real dollars, it’s likely you’ve heard about players’ exploits even if you haven’t played the game. CCP is now looking to bring the EVE universe to a wider audience, and rather than having a group of writers dictate all of the lore, they’re letting the players take part. They’ve set up a site where users can share their tales and vote on those of others. CCP has partnered with Dark Horse Comics to make a comic book out of the stories, and with a production company to make a live-action TV show.

Swapping wires and switching inputs on your TV to use different game systems is a pain. Ben Heck was sick of it, so he hacked-together a custom system that combines a PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U in one box. Ben walks you through the process over the course of three episodes of his eponymous Revision3 show. With new generations of the Playstation and Xbox on the way this year, this could be a fun use for your old systems. If you want to try it yourself, you’ll need a fully-stocked workshop and a surplus of courage, but the finished product is a modern marvel of gaming. Even if you don’t want to try it yourself, the episodes are worth watching, if only to marvel at the creativity. If you don’t have a Wii U handy, we previously featured a similar build that only combined an Xbox and Playstation, so give that a look for some more ideas.
