Star Trek Book Challenge 9: Time for Yesterday (Star Trek: The Original Series #39)

1992159Time for Yesterday (Star Trek: The Original Series #39) Written by A.C. Crispin…. You really can’t go wrong with the classic crew of Star Trek!

This book follows a reunited Enterprise crew to save Spock’s son from the past. The crew’s mission to the Gateway to bring back Zar out of the past and also contact the “Guardian of Forever” to civilization.

Now this is a sequel to Yesterday’s Son. So if you haven’t read that, you should read that first and sstop reading this post do to SPOILERS! The story line and the interactions between Spock, Kirk and McCoy are classes and heart warming. This book really felt like seeing an old family come back together one last time. There are some weak points, especially concerning the structure of the plot. Events seem somewhat erratic at times and the novel goes through multiple disorienting shifts in direction. I would go out read this book if you get the chance. Well read the first one and then read this one haha.

Time in the galaxy has stopped running in its normal course. That can mean only one thing — the Guardian of Forever is malfunctioning. To save the universe, Starfleet Command reunites three of its most legendary figures — Admiral James T. Kirk, Spock of Vulcan, and Dr. Leonard McCoy — and sends them on a desperate mission to contact the Guardian, a journey that ultimately takes them 5,000 years into the past. They must find Spock’s son Zar once again, and bring him back to their time to telepathically communicate with the Guardian.

But Zar is enmeshed in troubles of his own, and soon Kirk, Spock, and McCoy find themselves in a desperate struggle to save both his and their world. –This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Conversation With A 8 Year Old

Me: Lilly what are you doing?
Lilly: I’m having My Little Pony-ville attack Hello Kitty-ville.
Me: ?Oh?
Lilly: Yeah! The Pony’s didn’t like the way they were acting.
Me: ………. Oh…..?
Lilly: Plus the Hello Kitties have the purple egg of POWER! *has she lifts the egg into the air. *
Me: Oh my… Well I’m going to check on your brother.
Lilly: Okay!
Walk around the corner where Jackson is…. So at this point Jax was suppose to be getting ready for a shower. But as I walk into the bathroom… All I see is feet in air and his head sticking out of the toilet. I guess someone forgot to put the lid down and he went to sit down to get undressed. Instead he fell in and got stuck.
So one kid is have a Hello Kitty & My Little Pony civil war and the other is playing a really bad version of Super Mario Bros….
I’m done for the day.
