Pokémon GO Legendary Devices SCAM!

PGOScamSo earlier today a friend of mine told me about this Pokémon GO event for “Legendary Devices”. Like:

Legendary Incense

The special fragrant scent of this Incense will lure wild Pokémon near you with a chance of luring a legendary.

5 more stardust!

Legendary Lure Module

Apply this module to a PokéStop and a wild legendary Pokémon might appear!

5 more stardust!

Master Poké Ball

This Master Poké Ball is guaranteed to catch a Pokémon of any type or combat power.

5 more stardust!

PGOScam2Here is what you have to do:

Pokémon GO is launching a new exciting event for you, trainers! A breakthrough in capturing technology has happened and now it is possible to lure a legendary Pokémon closer to you with the help of new inventions.

Legendary stardust is needed to unlock these units – to collect your it, share the news with fellow trainers! You will gain stardust for each unique friend who clicks your link. Only one of the devices may be unlocked by the same trainer, team up and choose wisely! Once unlocked, we will ask you for your trainer name to deliver the goods.

PGO3When did Pokémon become “units”? Also ” – to collect your it” what? So once you collect all 10 points this little gem will pop up (picture to the left was taken, thanks to my friend). The site will hit you with a surveys before you can get anything. The site basically makes money off of every completed survey, and we get nothing out of it… Nothing… So stay away from “https://pokemonpromo.com/“! From what I’ve been told, if Pokémon does do an event, it’ll announce it on it’s main page (http://www.pokemongo.com/en-us/) I figured I’d let anyone & everyone know that plays the game, to stay way from this scam and keep a watchful eye for other “events” like this.

Be safe and mindful of your area!! Happy hunting!! Go Team VALOR!!
