Star Wars Book Challenge 3.5: Han Solo’s Revenge (Star Wars: The Han Solo Adventures #2)

So we have the next novel in the Han Solo Adventures Trilogy Han Solo’s Revenge (Star Wars: The Han Solo Adventures #2) by Brian Daley.

So when a high-paying cargo shipment turns out to be a consignment of Lurrian slaves, Han and Chewie have to think fast. But Han forms a plan to turn the tables on the slavers and free the captives. Han Solo’s Revenge is the second novel of The Han Solo Adventures trilogy, written by Brian Daley. It was released on October 12, 1979. It is a sequel to Han Solo at Stars’ End and is followed by Han Solo and the Lost Legacy. The whole trilogy was later reprinted on April 22, 1992.

So if you want a Han Solo tale that tells it like it was, that offers Han as he was meant to be, Han Solo’s Revenge is for you. And if you think it is better that Greedo shoots first you need to stay away, and I am sorry, but there is no cure for your affliction. Great Humor, quick paced action and memorable characters. What more can you ask for :)? So far I’m really like this Trilogy and it’s nice to have a small peek into universe that George Lucas created. The only problem I have with the book was the ending, because it was rather abrupt and kinda jarring in fact. But over all it’s another fun Star Wars book to read and can’t wait till I start up the third one!

After a string of unsuccessful smuggling ventures in the Corporate Sector, Han Solo and his Wookiee copilot, Chewbacca, quit that part of space. Down on their luck after a botched smuggling run on the Rampa Rapids, Han Solo and Chewbacca found themselves on the planet Kamar, showing holodocumentaries to the natives. They soon realized they weren’t cut out for legitimate work, and found themselves nearly broke, with no prospects in sight. In these dire straits, Han and Chewie accepted a job offer from an anonymous employer to fly blind for a cool ten thousand credits. However, after flying the Millennium Falcon to the planet Lur for the pickup, they discovered that the cargo was a load of slaves—something neither Han nor Chewbacca had any tolerance for. Some fast thinking by their two droids, Bollux and Blue Max, provided the two with an opportunity to turn the tables on the slavers’ attempt to commandeer the Falcon, and escape with both their lives and their ship. As far as Han Solo was concerned, somebody still owed them for their trouble. So they set out to track down the recipients of their intended cargo to get their money one way or another.
