Okay this one is more about the Artists rather than the retailers.. While there is a number of great retailers that come to these events. I feel this year wasn’t that great.. I found a lot of them to be over priced for what they were selling. For example: one retailer would be selling a Pop Head at $40. Now you can go two spaces down and find the same one for $20 or $15…. Plus there seems to be a number of complaining coming from the booths. Stating that no one is buying anything and “trying” to cause guilt trips into buying their stuff.. Personally I found myself think they should have made plans on selling and/or pricing for their products. I really don’t feel bad for them, specially the ones selling autographs of actors or guest for almost double what they are worth. Plus the fact you if you selling autographs of guest who are there at the Comic Con. Why would you buy just pictures for a 100+, when you can get a more personal experience with them and a picture…? It annoys me to no end with these people. I had one guy bitch at me because he put his all his money into this event, in hopes of a profit. This went on for almost 15 awkward minutes. He had nothing but autograph pictures…. No clothing, props, figures.. Just pictures… In the end I just walked away, stating you should have better business sense and know your demographic better. Before wasting all your money on this kinda project.

I got to meet Randy Emberlin and wow. Super nice guy and funny. Talked to him for a bit about his art work and past job he had in the past. If you don’t know who Randy is, here is a small bio for you.
Randy Emberlin is a comic book inker best known for his ink work on the Spider-Man comic books. Per the bio on his website, he currently lives in Portland, Oregon. He has spent the past 30 years working in a variety of creative fields, including as an illustrator of educational books and an animator on over fifty television commercials.
Over the last 20 years he is probably best known for his work as an inker in comics, with a resumé that includes long runs on The Amazing Spider-Man, G.I. Joe, Doctor Strange, Alien Legion, Ghost, and recently the Left Behind series for Tyndale House. He has worked with a wide range of pencilers.

Venom: Along Came A Spider (1996)
I found myself buying a number of his pictures and getting is autograph as well. Plus the lack of Spider-Man artwork on my walls is rather bothersome haha.
I also got to meet Mostafa Moussa and fell in love with his art style. With out even thinking about it, I got a drawing he did with Deadpool & Cable. As well as one of Harley Quinn. Mostafa has worked with DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Image Comics, IDW, Dark Horse, Hasbro, Mirage Studios, Zenescope, Devil’s Due, Big Dog Ink, just to name a few. Personally I didn’t realize who he was till I saw his art work and put two and two together haha.
