The answer us right there in the title. “Woke” means hating anything that’s even slightly different from your own beliefs and applying those beliefs and values to every culture in every time period.

Sane people, on the other hand, realize that every culture has good and bad points / moments and that you can’t judge how a civilization acted 2000 years ago by modern standards.

It’s a huge part of why I keep ranting against social media and both the Far Right and Far Left. It’s all poison intended to keep people fighting by playing on their fears and insecurities.

Truly being “woke” should mean that we realize we’re all human beings, nobody is perfect, and that we need to treat each other with courtesy and compassion. Things that are nonexistent in pundits and politicians.

I have to agree with you on this.. My family is heavy on the Celtic side. Being 50% Scottish and Norse, I am rather surprised by the amount of hateful comments or assumptions that people vomit out. I’ve learned to turn the other cheek most of the time. but sometimes, the trolls/Karen of the world get to me.

1/4 Highlander, 1/4 Irish, 1/4 German and 1/4 Welsh (the sane 1/4, lol)

It’s a shame really. I know the SJW crowd means well in it own warped way, just like a portion on the far right do, BUT until they learn you can’t fight hate with hate, they’re going to continue to do more harm than good.
