So I got the Plus a few months back to help with Pokemon GO. While the Plus as a whole is great, the wristband was not. The clamp never stayed shut, the loop to hold down the rather of the band did work at all.In fact it wasn’t really a loop at all, just a small plastic hook. Plus the band was just annoying hahaha.
So after looking around trying to find a replacement I came across a wristband for a “smart gear” watch called Misfit Shine by Dingtool. It turned out to be a perfect fit!
Now in order for it fit on the Plus you’ll need to have the clamp backing on. The slide the wristband loop and that’s it!! It’s like it was almost made for the Plus. Just not…. They come in many different colors and sets. You can buy one by it’s self or 2 or 4. It’s really up to you. Here is the link for them on Amazon:
Figured I’d share the random little bits of knowledge that I have found with you all.
BrandonTan91 is the world’s number one Pokémon GO player with over 300 million XP. He’s a mystery to many people – some say he spoofs, some say he cheats. At the end of last year, I went to Singapore to play Pokémon GO with Brandon and his team, and this is what I learned about how Brandon Tan plays Pokémon GO…
As kids get older, they understandably want more independence. And while that’s a perfectly reasonable thing to give them, it doesn’t change the fact that you still want to be able to spend time with them. The question inevitably becomes how you can balance your child’s need for space with your own need to be a part of their life.
Back in the day, many turned to a family game night to do just that, but many would consider that a bit passe. That’s only because they’re still stuck in the 1950s, since a game night can be a fun bonding experience for everyone—if done right. To see what we mean, try these three tips to take family gaming to the next level.
Let Them Choose
Craving independence is one of the reasons kids will usually turn down an old-fashioned game night. The best way to remedy this is to give them that feeling of independence—even if they are doing something with their parents. Even something as simple as picking what you’re going to do together can make things more engaging, which makes it more likely that you’ll be able to organize another game night in the future.
Consider Putting Away The Board Games
‘Game night’ usually just means ‘really old board games’, but there’s no rule that says it has to be that way. While the occasional evening with Monopoly isn’t all that bad, try to get with the times and do something a bit more active or in line with your child’s interests.
Video and PC games are also liked by kids of all ages—adults too. So try and find some games you can play together. For example, Minecraft is one of the most popular games in the world right now. With how simple it is to learn, it’ll be a snap to get into it together as a family. Of course, for this type of gaming to happen, it’s important to have reliable high-speed internet. The last thing you want is to lose your connect mid-game. So you may want to contact your phone and internet service provider and discuss your options for installing high speed internet.
While gaming may have negative connotations for some, the reality is that gaming serves as an excellent opportunity for kids to learn coding languages and computing basics. So use your weekly game night as an opportunity to play and learn together as a family.
If you’re not going to be connected to the internet, then this is an excellent time to try tabletop gaming as well – this is particularly going to be a hit if some of your kids are creative. For games like Dungeons and Dragons, there are certain measures of preparation to take, but the overall experience can be a great way to learn more about your kids and yourself through good ol’ RPG-ing.
It’s entirely possible that game night will go off without a hitch and everyone will love it. This, however, is just the best-case scenario. It’s also just as possible your kid might get bored and quit part way through, and this is okay.
Trying to force them to stay and play with you is just going to make things worse, so try to roll with the punches. It’s okay to switch to a different game if you need to or even just call it quits early on. You can try again some other time, and your child will appreciate being let go instead of being stuck in a situation.
Try more passive activities next time, they may not be what you imagined but starting out small can work pretty well. Maybe watch some movies (a Star Wars marathon never can go wrong). Maybe even debate a bit after on the best ones (here are some rankings if you want some good debating points). If staying at home doesn’t work well, even going to dinner with the family can foster a feeling of closeness. The point here as that you should be flexible and try anything that might be easier for your kids to settle in.
If you can remember these easy tips on revamping the old family game night, you’ll definitely be able to connect with your kids and spend more time with them than before.
Hobbies are activities people do to get a sense of fulfillment and to relax. For parents, having something non-work or child-related gives you a way to escape parenting burnout. There are endless hobbies to choose from, but to help busy parents narrow down the list we have created the top four activities (besides, you know, really cool book challenges) for moms and dads.
Gardening as a hobby can provide more than just a sense of accomplishment when you see the fruits of your labor because gardening can also provide your family fresh food and flowers.
Gardening can be a healthy workout too reports WebMD. It can increase endurance, flexibility, and strength.
Having a garden doesn’t necessary mean working outdoors. You can try your hand at growing an herb garden in a sunny kitchen window. There are plenty of plants that do well indoors in containers such as:
- Radishes and carrots
Finding and refurbishing furniture is a hobby that keeps you active. Locating the treasures is part of the fun, and there are several places to find old pieces.
- Flea Markets
- Garage Sales
- Estate Sales
Sometimes the item just needs a little sanding and paint, or you can go all out by stripping off the old paint and staining the fresh wood. Once you have finished your project you can decorate your home, or sale it for a little profit.
Car restoration involves cleaning, replacing, and repairing older vehicles. Some hobbyist enjoy rebuilding the entire car from the ground up, while others prefer working on specific areas such as the motors, interior fabrics, or exterior paint.
Some car restoration clubs meet in garages, and others take road trips, so it might be a fun way to get out of the house sometimes.
If you need some training, places that offer classes are community colleges or adult education programs. There are plenty of free videos online made by enthusiasts from all of these areas. They are mix of entertainment and information.
Another possibly profitable hobby is investing. Selecting stocks is something you can start without risking money. There are online trading companies that offer virtual stock picking platforms. Real money is not traded hands.
Checkout investment clubs where you can meet other adults and work on your investing skills. Investopedia recommends selecting a club that values education.
Some types of investments to learn are:
- Mutual Funds
- Commodity futures
There are many interesting hobbies for parents to try. Having a hobby gives you a way to escape parenting burnout, and gives you an avenue to create, relax, and refresh.

So I have written about this a few times now. About the autographs that my father gave me of the cast of Star Trek. How Shatner’s and Nimoy went missing or worst yet, STOLEN .. I even meet William Shatner and told him the whole story about it. Shanter even talked with my Father over the phone about it hahaha.
I know there are a few more post that I have written. But for the life of me, I can not find them haha. Anyways, as I finish up moving. I found a little piece of blueish green paper stuck to the bottom of a old cigar box… Could it be?!? I disbelieve I handed the paper over to my girlfriend to make sure. It was William Shatner autograph!! So I now have my Father’s original autograph, plus mine.
Sadly I am still missing Nimoy and the pictures.. But I fear it maybe to late for his autograph. Unless I pay an ungodly amount of money.. Worst part is the missing pictures, they are family memories. Why would anyone take those? But this is a rather small happy ending, bittersweet if you will.
