Well I started writing and got side tracked with Road House…. ANYWHO!! So now that is over. I finally had some time to sit down and do a massive clean out on the blog and update all the links. Even updated a few aspects of the site was well.

I’ve been remodeling my site to be a one stop shop for all things. My goal is not to be on social media as much. Rather use my blog/site to update everything. I mean there are some I have to check every so often, but places like Facebook, Twitter not so much. I can easily govern them through my site. I also plan on being more active on the podcast network I’m apart of. Specially now I have a normal job with normal business hours, I can actually do things!! Who knew!! I addition to the number of updates, I made a donation page to help out with future & current projects and podcasts. Plus with every donation made, a percentage with be donated to a charity that help fight against climate change.

At some point I plain on making store front for custom work and stickers/shirts. The money made off that will be turned towards the site and my fellow podcasts, for better equipment and servers/storage. Even looking into starting our old YouTube channel again. Nerdy Life of Mine as been a labor of love for over 10 years… That is rather crazy to think about. So things are happening and I for one am rather excited on how things are going.

Just finished making some more characters for the D&D campaign. I must say I actually really like putting this figures together.

Life & It’s Crossroads

Ever get to the point where your not to sure where you are going?

Maybe I’m being impatient and wanting things to change for the better. Don’t get me wrong, I like where things are at and how my life is going so far. Given everything that has happen in the last two years. But sometimes I feel stuck in this loop that’s always repeating.

I think that is one of the main reasons why I started this blog in the first place. Plus with podcasting again now, that adds another escape. I use to do a lot of paintings and/or drawing, but I find myself turned off by it. I think it was mostly cause by other people’s thoughts about my art. Or it became what the other person wanted, I got use to doing pictures for other people or changing my style because what I was painting bothered them.. I wasn’t doing it for me anymore… Infact I haven’t painted anything for myself in years. Maybe I should try and change that. I miss doing art shows and getting together with other artist and talking shop.

I know I started writing a book about a year and half ago. I think it only 25% done and I hit a wall. I have the idea where the book is going to go, as well as the subject matter. I mean it’s mostly stories from my life, it’s just shockingly hard to get down on paper. I think the problem I’m running into, is that I’m worried about people might think about it. Altho I’m at the point where I really don’t care anymore haha. Been judged on my past for so long, guess I got a little punchy. My history is what is it and I don’t regret one things at all.

When it is all said and done. I am happy, I have a job, a roof over my head and a wonderful girlfriend. Plus I have two health kids that cause grey hair and drive me up the wall at times hahaha.

A new #selfportrait I’ve been reading up on a lot of Tim Burton’s art work. I believe it’s starting to infect my own 😄 #art (at City of Lebanon, Oregon)

His Bio: “Hello there!  I’m glad you could make it.  I am Rocky Davies and so am I.  Ha, after looking around at my site I’m sure you’ve noticed that I like to do a wide variety of things.  This is true and its worked so far and so I am sticking to it.  I like to let the project define the style that I work in instead of letting my style define the projects I get hired for.  That has allowed me to work in a large range of fields from books to cartoons to video games to t-shirts and so on.

I love variety.  I love switching it up and tackling a new challenge.  If you need an artist that can think on their feet and adapt to nearly any situation, I’m your man.  If on the other hand, you want an art-bot that kicks out preprogrammed homogenized slush, then call Robert Finklebum Art & Linoleum.  They come highly recommended and can treat your rain gutters at the same time.

As a history lesson, I grew up as a product of the 80’s and so the majority of my influences started there.  I grew up watching cartoons, reading comics, collecting toys, playing video games, and drawing, drawing, drawing.  All of that mashes together in my collection of work.  I would fill sketchbooks with all kinds of crazy images since I was able to hold a pencil.  I took all the art classes I could in school and then went on to get a BFA in illustration from BYU in 2003.”

Geek Fallout Ep #110: 2014 Year End Review

Geek Fallout.

Rather than a Top 5 or month by month run down, Host Erik Johnson thought we could to try to run this episode like an awards show. Erik is joined by editor Chris Gaida, MissM and Chris Lockhart. For each category we pick a winner and at least one honorable mention. We go through each person’s choices and give everyone else to offer up corresponding comments.

No News (maybe a certain…
