This is definitely the first episode of a franchise topic, because there is so many things that annoy us: ANNOYING THINGS IN POP CULTURE.
Hosts Chris Lockhart and Jason Roberts are joined on the show by Richard Rehder. Some of the points discussed include: Re-casting unnecessarily, bullying/toxic fandom, secrets in plot lines, lazy people, empty cities in animation, lens flares….
So earlier I shared a few pictures I got with DC’s Joker, Batman, Catwoman and Harley Quinn. Finally found a spot for them!
I also framed some currency from Firefly.
I liked how it come out, plus I got to play around with spray paint and made a background for it :).
So this is the first time mounting canvases since high school. That would be 13-14 years now….. Yeah.. But they turned out rather well I think!
I got these pictures awhile back just hadn’t the time or the materials to put everything together.
I later painted the sides black and blended everything together. Now I’m just waiting for everything to dry and hang them. They are about 16×24 framed.
So this month Loot Crate is here and theme is “VS”. We have a nice mix of Star Trek, DC & Marvel comics 💭 to Aliens vs. Predator. I rather enjoy the Daredevil beanie that can be reversed into the Punisher skull 💀. The comic book wasn’t to bad. I like the art work and story line. Had me laughing at some points. Alot better than some of the other ones in the past. The crate was a little smaller this month. But it had alot more usable stuff this go around.
Think about what we would lose: all the weird, alternative, interesting, and enlightening stuff that makes the Internet so much cooler than mainstream Cable TV. What if the only news sites you could reliably connect to were the ones that had deals with companies like Comcast and Verizon?
On September 10th, just a few days before the FCC’s comment deadline, public interest organizations are issuing an open, international call for websites and internet users to unite for an “Internet Slowdown” to show the world what the web would be like if Team Cable gets their way and trashes net neutrality. Net neutrality is hard to explain, so our hope is that this action will help SHOW the world what’s really at stake if we lose the open Internet.
