1 Tbl. Olive Oil
1 Lb. Ground Turkey
1/2 Large Onion, Diced
2 Tbl. Chili powder
1 teas. Ground Cumin
1 teas. Dried Oregano leaves
1/2 teas. Ground Black Pepper
1/4 teas. Garlic Powder
1 3/4 Cup Chicken Broth
1 Cup Salsa
1 Tbl. Sugar
1 Cup Whole Tomatoes
1 Can Spicy Chili Beans, rinsed/drained
1 Can Mixed beans, rinsed/drained
1/2 Can Black Beans, rinsed/drained
1 Can Corn, rinsed/drained
6-12oz Tomato Paste

Heat the oil in saucepot. Add Turkey, onions, chili powder, cumin, oregano, black pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until the turkey is well browned. Stirring often.
Take half of the beans and mash them together.
Stir the broth, salsa, sugar, beans, including the mashed beans, and corn in the saucepot and heat to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Cover and cook for 30 minutes or until mixture is hot and bubbling.
Serve with shredded cheese and grill cheese sandwiches!

Lately we have been doing this in the crockpot and found that the flavor is better. We cook the meat, onion and spice mixture in a skillet. Pour all of the other ingredients into the crock pot while that is cooking. Then we add the meat mixture to the crockpot. We turn it on at about 11am and let it cook until we get home from work which is around 6:30pm or so. We have also prepped it the night before and put it in the fridge and then turned it on the next day so that there was no prep to do in the morning.

You can use whatever beans you like and add as much spice as you like.
